A mini well for Textor’s campaign will be in the library year-round to collect students and staff members’ spare change.

Junior Lauren Textor has partnered with the world’s largest youth water organization to build a well in a developing country.

The Thirst Project has completed over 1,900 projects to supply clean, safe water to locations across the globe. While woman and children spend six to eight hours each day walking to fetch water, the average American uses 101.5 gallons per day, according to phila.gov.

Stop by the wishing well in the library to donate loose change or contact Textor for more information on how to get involved with her year-long campaign.
