With the homecoming dance just around the corner, many students have found themselves beginning to prepare.

Freshman Carlos Hernandez and sophomore Jacob Swatek’s plans match the typical homecoming schedule. They plan to get ready with friends, go to dinner and hang out afterwards.

Unlike Hernandez and Swatek, freshman Alex Saragusa has a swim meet the same day and said she will have to play the day by ear when it comes to getting ready. Despite not knowing about the timing of her day, Saragusa has her outfit, hair-do and makeup planned out and has had her dress picked out for more than a month.

Hernandez and Saragusa are mostly looking forward to making memories with their friends, since it is their first high school dance.

“I’m going to have my experiences and be able to tell people about it,”  Hernandez said. “I’m pretty excited since it will be memorable.”

For junior Ally Viera, homecoming is all about having fun time with friends, and it’s been that way for all the dances since her freshman year.

“I’m just excited to be jamming out in a pretty dress,” Viera said.
