Piper basketball’s regular season has come to an end and it’s time for post-season basketball. Both girls and boys played against Tonganoxie in the first round of sub-state. The sub-state games were in Basehor. The boys went into sub-state as a two seed, while the girls were a one seed. Girls played Tonganoxie March 1. The boys played March 2. After the wins against Tonganoxie, Piper played March 3 at Basehor in the sub-state championship. The Pirates were able to achieve what they did last season. Both Piper teams won sub-state and are advancing to state. The regular season finished with the girls’ record as 19-0 and the boys with a 13-6 record.
