The Krab Kingz franchise recently opened up a store in Kansas City, Kansas. It has been getting a lot of recognition for their crab, lobster, and shrimp meals. Krab Kingz has many other locations, some of which are located in Missouri, Tennessee, and Florida.

Krab Kingz is only open Thursday through Sunday causing them to be very busy over those few days. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Krab Kingz is taking many precautions, one of which being that they are only taking carry-out and online orders.

Walking in, we were welcomed by a few of the employees. When we first got there, we were the only customers, but as we waited for our food more people trickled in. The customer service overall was great, but the employee that took our order seemed a little lost. This was expected, though, with it being freshly opened and there were no mistakes in our final order.

Their menu consists of multiple different meals and a large variety of butter that you can choose from. Some of which is original, honey garlic, cajun, lemon pepper, and spicy butter.

I ordered the crab and shrimp meal with original butter. My friend ordered the same but with honey garlic butter, which she claimed to be very flavorful. The meal came with a crab cluster, which is a few crab legs connected, shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and a hard-boiled egg.

Although the meal had a great taste, there was too much butter for my liking. After only eating about half of the meal, my stomach started to hurt. My friend enjoyed her food and did not have any stomach problems after, so I think you just have to have an acquired taste for this type of food.

I think the pricing was pretty reasonable for being seafood and for the amount of food we got. The crab and shrimp meal I ordered was approximately $16. I was able to eat leftovers after, so depending on how much you eat, the $16 can stretch for multiple meals.

Overall, I think that this restaurant you can either love or hate, depending on if you like seafood and lots of butter or not. I would try this place again but maybe order a different or less butter. I would recommend that everyone tries this restaurant, even if you are not the biggest fan of seafood, the appetizing butter makes up for it.  I would have to give this restaurant a three out of five.
