December 17, 2020
Global Spanish music artist, Bad Bunny, shocked his fans with the announcement of his latest album, “El Último Tour Del Mundo.” On Nov. 25, Bad Bunny took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that it would release the following morning, exciting millions of fans. This album was everything and more than what was expected of him.
This was Bad Bunny’s third album released this year. He released the studio album “YHLQMDLG” in February and the compilation album, “Las Que No Iban A Salir” in May.
Bad Bunny is known to be a reggaeton and Latin trap artist. With this album, he experimented with new sounds and stepped out of his usual genre of music. The most notable change was the hints of rock music added throughout the soundtrack.
The song “Yo Visto Asi,” begins with the sound of a guitar and transitions smoothly back into reggaeton, sewing the two genres together very well. This was a very creative move on Bad Bunny’s end, as the two types of music are extremely different, and unexpected to be put together. Only someone with lots of talent can do this and make it sound amazing.
As expected, Bad Bunny included songs that are similar to those on his previous album, “YHLQMDLG,” and are perfect for lifting the mood or starting a party. The song “Dákati” featuring Jhay Cortez was one of the biggest hits off of the album because of the similarities to songs on his previous albums.
Since Bad Bunny is such a versatile artist, his music does not only consist of hype, upbeat songs. The second after hearing one of those songs, he can have you in your feels in the next. “Te Deseo Lo Mejor” and “Te Mudaste” are just two of the songs that switch the mood around the album. So no matter what your mood is, you are sure to find a song that will fit it.
“El Último Tour Del Mundo” was all around another amazing piece of artwork created by Bad Bunny. His songs can fit anyone’s mood, appeal to different listeners, and even if you don’t know Spanish, you can still enjoy his voice and the music.
After all, Bad Bunny took the title of most-streamed artist and album of 2020 on Spotify. He is breaking barriers for Latino artists and making history. If you listen to this album, you too will see why. This album is recommended to anyone who just enjoys listening to music, in Spanish or not. You will not be disappointed with it.
