Legends mainstay has no problem staying afloat in a sea of new restaurants

Karli Trumbo, Staff

When I walked into Red Lobster, I immediately noticed two things. First, it had a relaxing and calm atmosphere. Second, I noticed was there was always a hostess on the phone. I overheard her making reservations. Luckily, as soon as we walked in, my companion and I were seated because they weren’t busy on that Friday afternoon.
The interior of the building is nice, and well kept. There weren’t any messes left on tables that needed cleaning and no leftover food on the floor.
Upon being seated, the waiter came to get our drink orders almost immediately. He came back with our waters within minutes and was patient with us as we took our time to look through the menu.
The menu has a variety of seafood. The menu was organized with pictures and prices; however, the dessert menu was not. It showed off all their yummy choices, but I struggled to find any prices for them. The waiter even had a hard time finding the prices. While you wait for your meal, you receive an endless supply of biscuits, or at least as many as you can eat. The biscuits were the best I have ever had. We were a little upset that our waiter waited so long to bring us the biscuits, but he brought them about 10 minutes after we ordered.
The food was incredible. I ordered a Caesar salad and crab linguini Alfredo, and my companion ordered the half-pound of snow crab legs. The linguini for the Alfredo had a mushy but pleasant texture and a unique taste that quickly grew on me. The sauce was pleasing and was a great addition on the crab. Overall, the crab linguini Alfredo was the best linguini Alfredo I’ve had in my life. My companion loved her snow crab and said her only regret was not ordering more.
Overall, Red Lobster was a classy restaurant. The staff put the customers first. Staff members were patient and respectful, and the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a love of seafood.
