Avery Roellchen, Photojournalist

Avery Roellchen is a sophomore at Piper High School, and this is her first year on staff. Roellchen is involved in cheer, volleyball, and Key Club. She loves Asian Cuisine, and after high school, she would like to become a language interpreter. Roellchen's mission statement is to capture memories throughout the year that will last with the students forever.

Freshman Genevieve Kulas run the 300 meter hurdles Wednesday, May 5 at the Piper High School Invitational track meet. Kulas, new to the 300 meter hurdles, placed 2rd overall.

Sophomore Tiwjuan Griffin runs the 400 meter sprint Friday, April 30 at the Basehor-Linwood track meet hosted by DeSoto High School. Griffin ran the 400 meter sprint right after running the 4x1 relay and placed 7th overall.

Sophomore Amaya Lawal throws in shot put Wednesday, May 5 at the Piper High School Invitational. Throwing 28.9 meters, Lawal placed 6th overall.

Junior Matthew Grimm runs the 1 mile Friday, April 30 at the Basehor-Linwood track meet hosted by DeSoto High School. Grimm placed 6th for the heat and 7th overall.

Senior Divante Herrig-Brittian runs the 200 meter sprint Friday, April 30 at the Basehor-Linwood track meet hosted by DeSoto High School. Herrig-Brittian placed 1st and broke his previous record.
