Astin Ramos is a senior at Piper High school and this is her third year on staff. Ramos participates in photojournalism, and her favorite food is strawberries. Her plans after high school include attending college at Anglo American University in Czech Republic. Her biggest inspiration is the people she hasn't met yet. Her mission statement is to share moments in time that will last forever in the students minds.

King Candidate Brody Lanter: Piper Football for four years, Wrestling for four years, Powerlifting for two years, Piper Baseball for two years, Track for two years, National Honor Society for two years, and President service for three years. After high school, Lanter plans on joining the Kansas Army National Guard while attending a trade school for mechanics. HIs most embarrassing moment was getting COVID-19 right before courtwarming. His celebrity crush is Zendaya and a fun fact about him is that he drives a race wagon.

Queen Candidate Mackenzie Jones: FCCLA President one year. FCCLA Board Member for two years. Piper Soccer for four years. Piper Powerlifting for three years. After high school Jones plans on attending MidAmerica Nazarene University for powerlifting while studying elementary education. Her most embarrassing moment was when she fell asleep in Algebra 2 and landed on the ground in her sleep. Jones’s celebrity crush is Jack Harlow and a fun fact about her is she has attended seven different schools in four different states.

King Candidate Jaron Briggs: Piper Basketball for four years. After high school Briggs plans to study physical therapy. His celebrity crush is Madison Bailey and a fun fact about him is that he is ambidextrous.

Queen Candidate Julie Jones: Piper Volleyball for four years, Piper Track for three years, Show Choir for three years, and Newspaper for two years. After high school, Jones plans on attending Kansas State University to study environmental science while continuing her rowing career. Her most embarrassing moment was when she fell up the stairs her freshman year. Her celebrity crush is Keanu Reeves but only in the first Matrix movie, and a fun fact about her is that she has a beta fish named Denny, after John Denver.

King Candidate Matthew Grimm: Tri-M for four years. Scholars Bowl for four years. Key Club for two years. Band for four years. Cross Country for two years. Track for two years. Baseball for one year. FCA for one year. Theater for one year. After high school Grimm plans to attend University of Nebraska to study dietetics and music His most embarrassing moment was showing up for school. His celebrity crush is Emma Watson and a fun fact is that he loves his parents.

Queen Candidate Kayden Collette: Piper Volleyball for three years and Pirates Bay Manager for one year. After high school, Collette plans on attending a university to study dental hygiene. Her most embarrassing moment was when she fell asleep in class while watching a video and got yelled at by the substitute teacher. Her celebrity crush is Kelly Oubre Jr. and a fun fact about her is that she has three chinchillas.

King Candidate Jahnye Jamison: Piper BLA board member for four years. After high school, Jamison plans to attend either Wartburg College or Texas Tech to study business administration and management. His most embarrassing moment was when he ran to his best friend Amara during passing period and slipped and fell in front of everyone. His celebrity crush is Kylie Jenner and a fun fact about him is that he watches basketball Overtime clips and still doesn’t know what a travel is.

Queen Candidate Amara Williams: Yearbook one year. Student Council one year. Music n Motion for two years. 20/20 Leadership for two years. Black Leaders of America for four years. Theater department for three years. After high school Williams plans on attending a four year university to study either fashion or business. Her most embarrassing moment was when the whole freshmen class went to Endgame and she screamed when Spider-Man came on the screen. Her celebrity crush is Tom Holland and a fun fact about her is that she has a few grey hairs.

King Candidate Seth Briggs: Piper Basketball for two years. Piper Swim for two years. After high school, Briggs plans to study fire science and marine biology. His most embarrassing moment was when he fell down the stairs, got up, and then fell again. A fun fact about him is that he has been racing dirt bikes for years.

Queen Candidate Audrey Menzies: Piper Dance Team for four years. Prayer Warriors President for one year. Prayer Warriors member for four years. Newspaper for three years. Editor for two years. 20/20 Leadership for two years. Student Council for two years. National Honor Society for two years. FCCLA for two years. After high school Menzies plans on attending Wichita State University to study social work and spanish. Her most embarrassing moment was when she said something embarrassing on Zoom and she didn’t know that the entire class could hear it. Her celebrity crush is Bradley Cooper and a fun fact about her is that she has a 15-year-old chihuahua named Honey who makes silly noises.

After graduation, Obiesie plans to attend a four year college and major in Bioinformatics.

Kaitlyn Bradbury Involvement: Softball for four years, volleyball for three years, Pirates Bay for two years, and Piper Graphics for one year. After graduation, Bradbury plans to attend KCKCC to play softball and major in Business and Marketing. Her fun fact is that she moved to Texas then back five weeks later.

Brandon Ahart Involvement: Football for four years and wrestling for two years. After graduation, Ahart plans to attend college and major in physical therapy. His most embarrassing moment is when he got bullied for wearing a pink American Eagle shirt by the football seniors.

Wyatt Busick Involvement: Football for four years, Wrestling for one year, Track for two years. After graduation, Busick plans to attend a four year university to play football and major in Marketing and Sports Management. His fun fact is that he has lived in California, Colorado and Kansas.

Kinley Brown Involvement: Volleyball for four years, track and field for four years and yearbook for three years. After graduation, Brown plans to attend a four year university to run track and pursue a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Athletic Coaching. Her most embarrassing memory is that she played basketball her freshman year. "That says it all."
