Due to the four inclement weather days in January, the seat time currently slated for our graduating senior class does not currently meet the statutory requirement hours.
Subsequently, Monday, May 13, will be designated a required attendance day for seniors from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. As with any attendance day, parents may choose to call their student out for an excused absence.
Additionally, since the statutory requirement for seat time for students in grades Pre-K – 11 is higher, we have some extra time in the current calendar for students in these grades. Therefore the district has amended the current calendar to make the last day of school for all students Pre-K through 11, Tuesday, May 21. The additional days gained will be critical to summer moving and construction schedules.
